Ingredients
- 650g tuna steaks, cut into chunks
- 1 tsp rapeseed oil
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 15g fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp tamarind paste
- Curry leaves if available
- 300g cooked red rice
Method
Check the fish for bones, pat it dry, and prepare the vegetables and sides before cooking.
Coat the tuna with pepper, turmeric, chilli, garlic, ginger, tamarind, and a little oil.
Cook gently with a splash of water until the sauce clings to the tuna and the fish is just cooked.
Serve with red rice and a crisp salad.
